Barclay Photography was established in the mid seventies by Jack and Nan Barclay; parents of Hollis Barclay. By growing up in this family owned Wedding Photography business, Hollis began doing professional wedding photography at age fifteen. After finishing High School, Hollis attended the Art Institute of Houston. After college in 1987 Hollis moved to Hartford Connecticut to be the Regional Photography manager for a portrait company in charge of many photographers spanning seven states. Hollis continued doing wedding photography and Professional Portraiture while in Connecticut. Hollis missed Texas and decided to move back there to expand Barclay Photography.

After marrying in 1993 and having two precious children, Hollis and his beautiful wife Shirley, began running Barclay Photography in Dallas full time; specializing in weddings, portraiture (engagements, bridals, families, and children), model's portfolios, graduating seniors, professional sports, concerts, and event photography. After the business was well established in Dallas, they decided to return to Houston to re-establish Barclay Photography, once Hollis' parents retired from the business. Hollis has won awards for his photography and has even been featured on KPRC Local 2 news with Roseanne Rogers as one of their preferred vendors. This segment may be viewed on our main page.

Barclay Photography is now fully digital, with Hollis doing all of the wedding and portrait photography and his wife Shirley handling the album design and most of the back end workflow. Hollis' daughter Holly is now doing some photography, as well as image uploads, slideshow presentation, and minor retouching.

Hollis Barclay wants to be your Wedding Photographer, Portrait Photographer, Engagement and Bridal Photographer, Senior Photographer, Pet Photographer, and School or Day Care Photographer. We also do quincinerras, babies portraits, newborns, maternity photos, commercial photography, head shots, and business portraits. We will travel to your location for portraiture or you may come to our spacious studio on the Spring/Woodlands border in North Houston.
